Progression...
you've probably heard this word over and over, but what does it really mean?
Trying new things to push our sport, yea. But ask your self this question, do you try to progress our sport or progress your tricks?

I know I do

Today:  I set up a wedge to wedge with a self-made ledge made out of cinder blocks in my driveway. The ledge was two cinder blocks high and had a kink at the bottom. The wedges were one foot high. So I ran it up a couple times, manualed down the ledge, and quickly got bored of it. But I had nothing else to do but ride so I tried different things on my homemade ramp. First I tried to do a one footed manual down the ledge, a trick I have never done before. Amazingly I pulled it smooth the first time and the first word that came to my mind was "Progression." Soon I was so excited to try new things on my shady ramp. So then, after a couple minutes of thought, I tried to do a can-can manual down my ledge. I ran it up and washed out the first couple of times, but then I finally pulled it and I was stoked. Eventually I got to trying a nose wheelie down it which I was not successful on and an icepick which I pulled for the first time ever.
My ramp sucked pretty bad, but it held up. And this is one of the best days i've had because I pushed myself to try new things.
Maybe if you push yourself to try new things you'll be as stoked as I am.
Now go out and try something you have never done before.
